Always the leader in cutting edge Annie Mation, circuswater proudly presents Pappy Nappin'. This gothic thriller is loosely based on the Fydor Dostoevsky classic novel CRIME AND PUNISHMENT as interpreted and adapted to the camera by Al Zee and Bob Bee. As you may recall, Al Zee was the winner of the New Hope Pool Goldfish Grab in 1979 and Bob Bee was 3rd runner up in the 1964 Clean Plate Club Competition at Gibbs restaurant in Ludington Michigan. Pappy is played by Bob Bee. Annie is played by the ever popular Jill Gosling. So love, loves, and lovers, it's pretty plain to see that there's no need for fancy motion picture theaters or expensive T.V. sets - Just log on to circuswater.blogspot for more Hi-Tech entertainment than you can shake a stick at! Especially If shaking a stick is your idea of a good time.

p.s. Hey fellas, don't forget to trim your sideburns evenly. Nothing says "Hey team, I'm a team player too!" like a fresh pair of evenly trimmed sideburns. And ladies, try to cover up your un-sightly tattoos and blemishes with band aids and/or spray paint. Un-healthy, decorated skin may look "cool" under the disco lights, but in the work place the signal reads "Hey everybody, look at me! I despise team players and would rather be at a rodeo doing drugs!"

Great Records from the Midwest - Gregory Dee and the Avanties

Gregory Dee & the Avanties

While growing up in Minneapolis during the early - mid 60's, I was blessed with dozens of opportunities to see great bands like Gregory Dee & the Avanties. The big regional hit for Gregory Dee & the Avanties was an instrumental titled The Grind which show cased the great Gregory Dean Maland on Hammond Organ. Gregory Dean Maland changed his middle name to Dee because it must've sounded better. The Grind is available on a 2 CD boxed set titled The Big Hits of Mid-America...the SOMA records story 1963-1967. SOMA backwards spells AMOS. Amos Heilicher was the great man at the wheel of the legendary record company. I can't remember how I acquired this promo copy 45 record pictured above. It's always been a favorite spin from my collection. I especially love the haunting song Keep Me. I'm not sure which cut was intended to be the A-side, but considering the song Because of You is a more up-beat tune, I would suspect it was the intended hit. My 45 record still plays fine. It's a bit scratchy, but there are no skips. These songs are still mesmerizing without the aid of CD quality clarity or re-mastering.

Dear hearts and gentle folk, All of the extraordinary, talented, beautiful and ingenious creators of Circuswater would like to wish all of you average Joes and plain Janes a happy and an un-safe Halloween. While all of you commoners were busy prancing around the super market or standing in a corner biting your noses, we here at Circuswater were busy being brilliant and creating our own Halloween decorations! These breathtaking ornaments, that would probably cost hundreds of dollars each on the open market, are not available anywhere. In fact, we plan on burning em before Halloween so that even our own children won't get a chance to look at em!

FREE Button!

In these days of: financial woe, a constant rising rate of unemployment and a truly bleak future for everyone except the criminally insane, this "FREE Button" service has lifted my spirits to a near non-suicidal level of glee. I wept without shame; "my tears were tears of joy!" I've completely dismissed the fact that I'd brought my winter coat in to have the zipper repaired and now I'm left with huge gaps that one, small, button cannot accommodate. It's the simple gesture that gives me a warm feeling of pride. Every time the cold bitter winds pound my exposed torso, I'll think back on Yu Lu, my dry cleaning/tailoring expert, with a fondness surpassed by none!

Don't look now, but I'm 'a wishin' for a free shoe lace for my Beatle boot.

Well then, it's been a long while since we've posted anything on our wonderful circuswater blogspot. We've truly missed the delightful communique with all of our darling, adoring fans. As you can see by the stunning acrylic painting featured above, we've not been wasting any time. This lovely study of Li'l Baby Bleaker, the sweetheart of CIRCUS 13 fame, took Mr. Lewis several weeks of heavy labor and several gallons of fine paint to complete. The actual size of this painting is about as large as a small building, or about as small as a large building. We're now in the process of building a building to store this precious masterpeice in. We're using organic materials such as the shedded eyelashes of rented cattle, red plastic and discarded tooth pics collected from the trash bins of local eateries by our polite, and obedient children. We may not be much, but we're all we ever talk about.

Big screen thrills - COBRA WOMAN

The voluptuous Maria Montez is what this film is about. She was born Maria Africa Vidal de Santo Silas, which was a bit lengthy for a theater marque. In real life/death she even died in a sexy way by suffering a fatal heart attack in her bath tub at the age of 31. Actually I do love this movie better than her other films. Though I was disappointed to learn that Sabu was not the lovable chimp, but was in fact some lousy teenager named Karapur Mysore, and Nadja (Maria M.) didn't turn into a real cobra and go on a killing rampage. There is a 1955 film called Cult of the Cobra in which Faith Domergue had the ability to turn into an actual cobra, but Faith, in my opinion, isn't nearly as alluring Maria.

Water Bears, aka Tardigrades, are microscopic creatures that mostly live in wet grains of sand or on plants in fresh water. They're less than 0.05 inches long and eat plants. During dry seasons, water bears shrivel up and remain dormant until moisture returns. They can remain dormant for over one hundred years. It would be all too wonderful if they were the size of Grizzly Bears. It seems like large water bears would be fun to have around.

My July Vacation - Bobby Pins

Front Desk Agent, Candy Bleach, explained that High Resolution film was used to photograph the images in the brochure.

Whatever charm the exterior lacked was completely forgotten once I checked into my luxurious suite. Please take note of the not 1, not 2, but 3 reading lamps!

After a leisurely 23 1/2 mile walking tour, which included the only mail box in 7 counties to honor race car driving legend Sterling Moss, I decided to make my way back to the hotel for a cool dip in the pool.

I wonder what all the poor slobs back home are doing right now?! Tee Hee!

Once again, the High Resolution film used to photograph the brochure cast a different impression of the swimming pool. I relaxed on the lawn for 3 hours until Candy Bleach's son, Klippy, was finished playing. At my request; he happily removed his toy boats and vamoosed to make room for yours truly. I could almost hear sea gulls screaming in the distance.

Upon the completion of 7 vigorous laps in the pool, I chatted with Mr. Tim, the Director of Food & Beverage and the eldest son of Candy Bleach, about tonight's bill of fare.

After dinner I boogied down to the Lavender Lounge to tip back a cold Fresca and catch the 3rd set of the fabulous Gosling Bros. These classy, siamese twins put on a high steppin' razzle-dazzle show that could rival some normal performers.

My toe is still tapping!
