I'm not much into politics. I tend to agree with everyone about everything so they'll stop expressing their political opinions, but being that it's Presidents Day, I feel pressed to make a comment. I did like James A. Garfield in 1881, even though they gave him the boot after only 6 months in office when they discovered he was a werwolf. And "I like Ike," because it rhymes so well.

THE GIRL WHO LAUGHED AT THE MOON
So, If I seem a bit out-of-sorts today it's because I am! I don't want to sound like a Gloomy Gus or a Grumpy...blast it, I can't think of another name that begins with the letter G. But, here it is Friday the 13th, the only decent holiday on the calendar, and I don't have a good coloring book, I don't have a blue top hat and I've got to work tonight! And why does Patty get all the attention? Anyone can be lovable when they're wearing a fine chicken costume. I'm the one who has to wear a Minnie Pearl shower cap and execute a peppy two-step with empty kleenex boxes for shoes! I hope we don't even book a fourth season.
As I recall, only awful children got CRAYON coloring books. Wonderful children received PAINTING and DRAWING coloring books. I was given pieces of cardboard, a pie tin filled with motor oil and a carpenters pencil. But seriously, I remember a place in the Chicago Loop (before they ruined everything with big chrome beans and fancy-shmancy boutiques) called Puss In Booths. I think it was on Wells street. Great place! Waaay better than fast foood! Actually they didn't serve food, but I can't resist jabbing that horrible Wendy Long Stockings hamburger cartoon girl. She's even worse than that disgusting "da da da da da, I'm Lovin' It" routine. Well, maybe I'm just jealous because they're doing so well and my hamburger stand "Bobby's Budget Beef Burgers" failed miserably after only being open for two and half hours.
Before my addiction to Warner Brother's, Sylvester the Cat, kicked in "Big Bad Wolf " was my everything. I'm sure you remember the Disney classic cartoon that put him in pursuit of the Three Little Pigs. Well these Li'l Bad Wolf comics take us to a time somewhere after the 3 pigs had foiled Big Bad Wolf's follies. Now Big Bad Wolf has a son, Li'l Bad Wolf, but his son is not really bad. In fact, Li'l Bad Wolf is best friends with, you guessed it, the Three Little Pigs. The plots usually involve Big Bad Wolf in pursuit of the 3 Little Pigs, with his sensitive son, Li'l Bad Wolf, making every effort to ruin his father's chances of capturing and eating his delicious little friends. Of course Big Bad Wolf, who is often called Zeke by other woodland residents, is disappointed in his son who seems to shun his lessons in being bad. I too was and am, disappointed in Lil Bad Wolf's lousy attitude. Here he's lucky enough to have a father who encourages him to be BAD, but he chooses to be some sort of peace creep bent on protecting his crumby pig friends from his hungry, adoring pap.
