These prices are ridiculous. In the days of yore, I used to pay a nickel for a Pigmy Shrew!
These precious little critters are a lot tougher than you might think; many years ago while playing in a garage, I watched one of these tiny terrors, weighing in at 1 1/14 ounce, keep our neighbor's 95 pound German Shepherd at bay. Pigmy Shrews have a life span of about 1 1/2 years at most, and at 3 inches long, they've gotta be brutes.
